My Social Security Disability (SSD) Claim Was Denied. What Now?

Most Social Security Disability (SSDI/SSD) and SSI claims are initially denied. Most SSD and SSI claims will require a hearing before a claim can hope to receive SSDI or SSI benefits. An experienced SSDI attorney will properly prepare and develop your case before this hearing.

Do not give up. We’re here to help.

How Do You Prepare an SSDI Case?

Gather up-to-date medical records.  When the date of your hearing comes, you must ensure that there are no gaps in your medical records.  You cannot rely on the The Social Security Administration (SSA) to gather additional medical records on your behalf.

When you receive a date for your hearing, be sure to request all your most recent medical treatment records from your health care providers. Give yourself time to get these records and any necessary testing.

Once you have these records, keep a copy for yourself, one for your attorney, and one for the hearing office.

How Can a Lawyer Help Me with My SSDI Claim?

To start, the chances of getting your claim approved go up when you are represented by an experienced SSDI or SSI lawyer.  Additionally, studies have shown a correlation between having legal representation and obtaining favorable outcomes in SSDI hearings.

Contact us today and let us help you get your SSDI or SSI claim approved.
